IOANA VREME MOSER (Timișoara, Romania / Berlin)

The Dormestic Beauty is a two hour long ASMR sound assemblage performed as a slow-phased binaural tender chant that evokes somnolent sensorial titillations by the means of domestic electronic machinery.
The noisy buzzes and murmurs of collected junk household items such as oscillating fans, hair dryers, keyboards, radios, heaters, etc., are carefully manipulated and intercalated with the gentle gestures of soldering and transmitted through headphones to the audience.
The widespread but invisible, ASMR online movement, tackles some of the modern manifestations of intimacy, where filmed household products become perceptual phenomenons and favorite sleep companions. ASMR, stands for the autonomous sensory meridian response, a tickling and grooming ghostly, sedative sensation that begins in the scalp and travels down the spine in response to quiet methodical activities and static noises.

Ioana Vreme Moser is an audio-visual artist, performer, hardware-hacker, researcher and instrument builder engaged with transmedia narratives and electronic poetics. Her ludic, process-driven practice aims to disclose some of the inconspicuous events that occur on a daily basis in natural systems. She uses organic materials, retro-machinery and electronic technologies, to investigate the links in between objects and their memory. Her work currently involves electro-mechanical instruments, sound sculptures, kinetic installations, audio-visual performances, graphic notations, softly spoken recordings, data compendiums and video pieces. http://ioanavrememoser.com/
